Fly Like an Eagle - Mango Edition was so delicious, we squireled some away for the next Eagles pre-season game.
On Thursday, August 23rd we will be re-releasing Fly Like an Eagle - Mango Wooder Ice IPA, and These Pretzels are Making Me Thirsty - Pretzel Lager.
Fly Like an Eagle is our 6.2% mango water ice inspired New-England style IPA with lactose and vanilla. Water (say "wooder") ice is a staple street snack in Philadelphia, and we've decided to craft a hazy, dank, fuzzed out beer in it's honor. To achieve this lofty goal, we start with a base of half American malted barley and half British rolled oats to create a creamy foundation, then ferment it with out house ale yeast. Post fermentation, we add over 150 pounds of mango puree, then dry hop it aggressively with Simcoe & Chinook hops.
These Pretzels are Making Me Thirsty is our 5.6% Pretzel Rye lager inspired by one Philly's favorite snacks. Brewed with a variety of German and American specialty malts, mustard seeds, salt, and 50 pounds of soft pretzels, then fermented with our house lager yeast.
